The
Western Robbery Conference is open to all active and retired law enforcement
personnel as well as qualified private security representatives. The Conference
consists of two and one half days of dynamic classroom instruction provided by
experienced law enforcement personnel. Social Functions are included to
encourage class member interaction and development of professional contacts.
The 2000 Western Robbery
Conference was held May 31 to June 2, 2000, at the Great Divide Lodge in
Breckenridge, Colorado.
Over 160
investigators from 12 states and Australia attended!
Among those attending
were security representatives from Safeway, King Soopers, Loomis, Fargo &
Co., Bantek West, Inc., Wells Fargo Bank, World Savings, Kinko's and First Bank.
CARI provided a continental breakfast daily, lunch on Wednesday and Thursday, and a
barbecue picnic dinner on Wednesday evening.
All participants received a
tote bag, a CARI notebook, a coffee mug, Police magazine and the CARI directory,
as well as conference materials. Door prizes were given away during breaks and
two handguns and a bicycle were given away on Friday.
The
registration fee of $140.00 included conference materials, listed meals, a CARI
hosted hospitality suite each evening and a certificate of completion.
